Tanner was a 12-year old middle linebacker when a punishing tackle left him with a severe concussion. Dianne

“They’ll tell you in physical therapy there are baby steps. You go up, but don’t be surprised if you have backward process. And then you go up again, because that’s part of the process. But because I’ve had a very strong will to get better, I’ve been getting stronger and stronger all the time.”

Those were the sentiments of Dianne Shields, a dialysis nurse who contracted COVID-19. As part of our Recovery and Reconditioning Program, Dianne continues to heal from after-effects of virus through physical and occupational therapy with NovaCare Rehabilitation in Lansdale. Dianne is working on enhancing her balance, stability and endurance as well as improving her grip strength, dexterity and fine motor skills.

Matt

“Having suffered a catastrophic knee injury during a skiing accident last January, I felt like I was already going stir crazy at home. Then COVID-19 drops the world on its head around the time I had ACL reconstruction surgery. I’m very appreciative NovaCare has been able to remain open and provide safe, reliable and friendly services. Three days a week I’m treated with courteous attention and enthusiastic professionalism. I feel like I’m visiting friends. Sure, they test my injury and challenge me with new exercises, but I’m continuing to observe measured improvement under their thoughtful supervision and will soon be able to put this injury in my rearview mirror for good. If you’re looking to find a rehabilitation center with friendly, thoughtful and attentive service, look no further than NovaCare in Bowie!”

Those were sentiments shared by Matt, a former patient of ours, in regards to the treatment he received from the team at our Bowie, MD center. We’re so thankful for Matt’s kind words and are thrilled we could play a part in his road to recovery.

Henry

“I was ready to give up bowling, as I just couldn’t throw the ball anymore. Throughout my treatment, Morgan, my physical therapist at the NovaCare center in Collegeville, PA, was pushing and encouraging me to not give up. Her clinical expertise and treatment was tailored to my needs and instrumental in helping me feel a lot better. While I may have been throwing the ball down the alley, we won this trophy!”

Morgan helped her former patient, Henry, return to all of his favorite activities by creating a treatment plan that focused on manual mobility, core stabilization and lower extremity strengthening.

Willie

“I suffered a bad injury at work and needed two surgeries in the span of 18 months. During that time, I had the privilege of working with the team at your NovaCare Rehabilitation center in Cherry Hill, NJ. Every member of the clinical team treats patients like family. My time was amazing and enjoyable. I’ll miss the entire occupational therapy team and would like to thank them for all the heart, love and passion they provided me.”

Kaitlyne

“I was playing soccer for my high school team when I planted my foot and dropped to the ground. I was devastated when I received word a few days later that I had torn my ACL. After having surgery, I started working with your Battle Creek, MI team and I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of love I’ve received from the entire team.

I’ve needed a few manipulations due to complications and scar tissue, but thanks to the love, treatment and support I’ve received from the NovaCare team, I’ve been able to work through the struggles I’ve faced. I really feel at home when I come in for treatment, like everyone is doing their best to help me get back to the sport I love. Thanks to your team, I feel like I’m getting stronger as each day passes and I know it will only be a matter of time before I’m back on the field!”
