Our Team

Jim Pelusio , P.T., DPT, OCS

Jim has been practicing as a physical therapist since graduating from Drexel University in 2014. In this time he has gained several years of experience treating a wide range of conditions including neck and back pain, rotator cuff dysfunction, hip and knee pain, plantar fasciitis, concussion/vestibular dysfunction and post-operative joint replacements. Jim earned a board-certified specialization in orthopedics in 2019 to sharpen his clinical skills and improve mentorship to student physical therapists. Jim was promoted to center manager of NovaCare Washington Square in 2021 with an interest in coaching and mentoring team members to achieve their clinical and professional goals. In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time in the outdoors camping, hiking and snowboarding.

Ian Metcalfe , P.T., DPT, CSCS

Ian has been with NovaCare since May 2022, and practicing as a physical therapist since 2018. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, with experience treating a variety of orthopedic and post-surgical conditions, and a special interest in treating athletes. He attended Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, graduating with a bachelor's degree in health science in 2016 and a doctorate in physical therapy in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, powerlifting and exploring new Vegan restaurants in Philly.

Allison Hart , P.T., DPT, LSVT-Big Certified

Allison received her doctorate of physical therapy from Temple University and has been practicing as a physical therapist since 2019. In this time, she has gained experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular and concussion/vestibular conditions. In 2021, Allison received her certification in LSVT BIG- which is a specialized program specifically tailored to improve balance, gait, endurance and daily function of those living with Parkinson's Disease. Allison also comes from an extensive performing arts background and has a special interest in treating dancers and circus artists. Outside of NovaCare, Allison is also a professional hula-hoop artist and juggler- and she also enjoys biking and hiking in her free time.

Community Involvement

NovaCare Rehabilitation is a proud partner of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and Flyers. NovaCare also has collegiate partnerships with multiple universities which boast onsite locations to provide easy access to care for the faculty, students and athletes. These universities include La Salle, Temple and Villanova where we are the official physical therapy and athletic training provider to the student-athletes.
