Welcome to NovaCare's Bala Cynwyd location, conveniently located just off City Line Avenue on Presidential Boulevard. As one of the larger centers, we offer appointments in the early morning, evenings and Saturdays, and have a pool. We provide individualized care for orthopaedic, pre- /post-surgical, generalized deconditioning, TMD, Post-COVID, vestibular/concussion and more conditions. We also provide occupational/hand therapy with a certified hand therapist. As a leader in sports medicine, our clinicians utilize their certified sports specialties to deliver care to LaSalle University and University of the Sciences of Philadelphia.

Our Team

Kim Adams, P.T., DPT, SCS, ATC

Kimberly is a physical therapist and athletic trainer for NovaCare Rehabilitation in Bala Cynwyd. She has worked at a number of local universities, high schools and elementary schools such as Saint Joseph's University, LaSalle University, Villanova University, Eastern University, Lincoln University, Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, Radnor High School, Malvern Preparatory School, the Haverford School and Welsh Valley Middle School. Her professional sports experience includes working as part of the sports medicine staff with the Philadelphia Soul and as a physical therapy consultant for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Justin Lavo, P.T., DPT, SCS, Center Manager

Justin is a multi-site center manager for NovaCare's Bala Cynywd and King of Prussia centers. He has treating expertise in sports medicine where he uses his on-and-off-the-field experience to aide with injury prevention and return to sport services. Justin also enjoys working with the diverse patient population in the outpatient orthopedic setting.

Karen Davis, COTA

Karen is an occupational therapy assistant in our Bala Cynwyd office who delivers exceptional care while providing a fun and compassionate environment for your hand therapy needs. She is a proud Penn State Alumnae who was been practicing since 2004 with her focus in hands and upper extremity rehab. Karen enjoys fabricating orthosis orthosis of all kinds and helping patients receive the maximum benefit from therapy services. When Karen is not working, you can find her spending time with her boys and volunteering within her community and youth sports organizations.

Tamika Tillman, P.T., DPT

Tamika is an accomplished clinician with more than 13 years of rehabilitation excellence in outpatient, long term care and sub-acute environments. Tamika strives to provide a standard of care above and beyond traditional practice, and she does just that with noted success in the rehabilitation of total knee and hip replacement and ankle fractures and injuries. Her focus is on promoting healing and general wellness with all her patient through personalized, evidence-based treatments and creating an enjoyable and productive therapy session each visit.

Kevin Deley, P.T., DPT, ATC

Kevin received his bachelor's in athletic training from West Chester University and went on to earn both his master's degree in anatomy and clinical health sciences as well as his doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Delaware

James Young, P.T., DPT, SCS, ATC

James is a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence in patient care. As a physical therapist, certified athletic trainer and board-certified specialist in sports physical therapy, Jim is proficient in the evaluation and treatment of a myriad of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. He is a Titleist Performance Institute certified and a "pro" at treating golf injuries. Jim is also the physical therapist and athletic trainer at La Salle University where he specializes in sports medicine, treating athletes for a variety of orthopedic injuries.

Hannah Adelsheimer, O.T., MSOT

Hannah is an occupational therapist with a focus in hand therapy. She strives to provide the highest quality of care to all of her patients and creates unique treatment plans for each of her patient's individual needs. She treats all upper extremity conditions including carpal tunnel, lateral epicondylitis, arthritis, fractures, tendonitis and surgeries. Hannah is currently working towards obtaining her certified hand therapist certificate.

Matthew Drake, P.T., DPT

Matthew is a dedicated professional who is focused on engaging each of his patient in the healing art and science of physical therapy. Matt possesses the awareness and sensibility to address the major limitations preventing patients from performing the skills required for the activities that are important to them. He believes the promotion of self-efficiency and coherence toward a carefully tailored rehabilitation program is the key to each patient's recovery toward an optimal quality of life. Matt has notable success in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedics including balance deficits, postural and ankle instability as well as issues related to osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

David Liebert, P.T., DPT

David is a valued member of the clinical team with treating expertise in health, sports and fitness. An avid sports fan and athlete in his own right, David played lacrosse, was a swimmer and polo player in high school and played Division 1 water polo in college. His decision to become a physical therapist was inspired by his own ACL/meniscus injury, and going through the rehabilitation process where he experienced the power of physical therapy. David is especially passionate about sports injuries and is skilled in the rehabilitation of shoulder/knee pathologies, acute lower back pain, joint replacement, post-surgical intervention and balance deficits. At the forefront of his practice, David is focused on creating good communication with each patient so they may have the best clinical outcome and improved quality of life. His commitment to excellence is evidenced with each patient encounter.

Imani Shell, P.T., DPT

Imani is a valued member of the clinical team whose goal is to provide a compassionate and informative environment for all patients to best collaborate with them in reaching their rehabilitation goal. Imani has seen notable success in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of injuries and conditions including shoulder pathologies, knee pain and low back pain. For Imani, it's all about the quality of life for her patients. She is passionate about helping reveal the true capabilities of each person, assisting them in overcoming discouragement, and accomplish great things in their rehabilitation journey. Her dedication to this task is evidenced with every patient encounter.
