Welcome to NovaCare's Bala Cynwyd location, conveniently located just off City Line Avenue on Presidential Boulevard. As one of the larger centers, we offer appointments in the early morning, evenings and Saturdays, and have a pool. As a leader in sports medicine, our clinicians utilize their certified sports specialties to deliver care to LaSalle University and University of the Sciences of Philadelphia.

Our Team

Justin Lavo, P.T., DPT, SCS, Center Manager

Justin is a multi-site center manager for NovaCare's Bala Cynywd and King of Prussia centers. He has treating expertise in sports medicine where he uses his on-and-off-the-field experience to aide with injury prevention and return to sport services. Justin also enjoys working with the diverse patient population in the outpatient orthopedic setting.

Karen Davis, COTA

Karen is an occupational therapy assistant in our Bala Cynwyd office who delivers exceptional care while providing a fun and compassionate environment for your hand therapy needs. She is a proud Penn State Alumnae who was been practicing since 2004 with her focus in hands and upper extremity rehab. Karen enjoys fabricating orthosis orthosis of all kinds and helping patients receive the maximum benefit from therapy services. When Karen is not working, you can find her spending time with her boys and volunteering within her community and youth sports organizations.

Tamika Tillman, P.T., DPT

Tamika is an accomplished clinician with more than 13 years of rehabilitation excellence in outpatient, long term care and sub-acute environments. Tamika strives to provide a standard of care above and beyond traditional practice, and she does just that with noted success in the rehabilitation of total knee and hip replacement and ankle fractures and injuries. Her focus is on promoting healing and general wellness with all her patient through personalized, evidence-based treatments and creating an enjoyable and productive therapy session each visit.

Kevin Deley, P.T., DPT, ATC

Kevin received his bachelor's in athletic training from West Chester University and went on to earn both his master's degree in anatomy and clinical health sciences as well as his doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Delaware

Hannah Wahner, P.T., DPT

Hannah received her bachelor's in health professions from Temple University and her doctorate of physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. Her goal is to provide tools each patient needs to improve function through collaborative treatment, education and exercise.

James Young, P.T., DPT, SCS, ATC

James is a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence in patient care. As a physical therapist, certified athletic trainer and board-certified specialist in sports physical therapy, Jim is proficient in the evaluation and treatment of a myriad of orthopedic and sports-related injuries. He is a Titleist Performance Institute certified and a "pro" at treating golf injuries. Jim is also the physical therapist and athletic trainer at La Salle University where he specializes in sports medicine, treating athletes for a variety of orthopedic injuries.

Kathryn Reynolds, PTA

Kathryn graduated with highest honors from the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology in 2023. As a clinician, Kathryn makes it a priority to understand and work with patients in setting and achieving personal goals through creative and informed solutions. By providing digestible education and encouraging patients to make informed decisions within a clinical setting, Kathryn is able to impart lasting results and positive changes regardless of diagnosis.

Nicolette Thol, P.T., DPT

Nicolette received her bachelor's degree from Kutztown University and worked as an athletic trainer in various settings for nearly 12 yrs. Nicki returned to academia graduating from Neumann University in 2014 with her doctorate in physical therapy, which was her ultimate career goal. She loves the diversity of her patients' ages, diagnoses and backgrounds. For her the reward is in her patients facing their challenges and meeting their goals.

Lauren DeAngelo, OTR/L, MSOT

Lauren is a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence in patient care. As an occupational therapist, Lauren utilizes a combination of manual therapy, exercise, therapeutic activity, pain management and patient education to maximize recovery. She enjoys connecting with each of her patients and understanding their unique needs and goals throughout their path to recovery. Lauren has notable success in the treatment of distal radius fractures, thumb CMC osteoarthritis and tennis/golfer's elbow. At the forefront of her practice, Lauren is committed to cultivating a supportive environment where patients can thrive, discover their potential and enjoy the process of healing.

Jeremy Klapper, P.T., DPT

Jeremy earned his doctorate in physical therapy and master's degree in clinical health science from the University of Delaware in 2023. Jeremy specializes in diagnosing and treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries while utilizing therapeutic activity, neuromuscular reeducation and manual therapy techniques as needed to assist in patient recovery. He recognizes physical therapy is a process and is committed to providing the highest standard of care throughout the entirety of the rehabilitation journey. Jeremy's diverse skillset allows him to treat a wide variety of conditions, with a particular interest in providing post-operative care and treating runners, athletes returning to sport, jaw pain and individuals looking to take their life back and improve their activity levels.

Emmanuel Torres, P.T., DPT

Manny is a graduate of Saint Joseph's University's doctorate in physical therapy program and a Temple University alumnus where he completed a bachelor's degree in health professions. Manny's journey started as a personal trainer where he managed a private fitness studio in Philadelphia. As he witnessed the progress of his clients' physical strength, he grew more curious about alternative health practices. He believes that becoming a physical therapist has allowed him to make a larger impact on the wellbeing of the people he serves; as well as bridges the gap between performance and rehabilitation. Manny enjoys working with the athletic population; more specifically those suffering from athletic knee or overhead athlete injuries.

Community Involvement

NovaCare Rehabilitation is a proud partner of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and Flyers. NovaCare also has collegiate partnerships with multiple universities which boast onsite locations to provide easy access to care for the faculty, students and athletes. These universities include La Salle, Temple and Villanova where we are the official physical therapy and athletic training provider to the student-athletes.
