Our Team

Eric Johnson, P.T., DPT

Eric has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team since 2019. He has worked exclusively in the outpatient setting throughout his time as a physical therapist. Eric specializes in treating patients who benefit from a variety of orthopedic rehabilitation including general aches/pains or after musculoskeletal surgeries. He has a certification in dry needling and is trained to complete blood flow restriction. He has also been an orthopedic residency faculty member since 2023. Eric completed his undergraduate education and his doctorate of physical therapy at Ohio University. He earned his orthopedic specialist certification in 2013.

Jeremy Hess, OTR/L, CHT

Jeremy has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team since 2018. He has worked in the outpatient setting over the course of his career. Jeremy specializes in treating patients with fractures of the hand and upper extremity, tendon injuries, joint arthroplasty and cumulative trauma disorders. He is a certified hand therapist (CHT). Jeremy completed his undergraduate education at The Ohio State University and received a bachelor's in allied health professionals.

Joseph Fletcher, P.T., DPT

Joey has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team since 2018. Joey is an orthopedic certified specialist and now serves as an orthopedic resident faculty member. He holds certifications in a variety of hands-on treatment techniques as well as dry needling. Joey also serves as the spine rehab coordination for the NovaCare/OhioHealth Columbus market. He received his doctorate of physical therapy from The Ohio State University in 2015.

Shane Abbott, PTA

Shane has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team since 2022. Shane has worked in the outpatient setting throughout his time as a physical therapist assistant. He is a graduate of Zane State College with an associate degree in accounting and associate degree in physical therapy assisting. Shane has experience treating patients with lower back, neck, shoulder, knee, hip and ankle injuries as well as balance issues.

Max Westhoven, P.T., DPT, Center Manager

Max has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team since 2023. Max specializes in treating patients who benefit from a variety of orthopedic rehabilitation including acute injury, chronic pain and post-operative care as well as preventative wellness. He has a certification in dry needling as well as a Titleist Performance Institute certification for golf performance. Max completed his undergraduate education at the University of Cincinnati and his doctorate of physical therapy at Duke University.

Steven Carpenter, P.T., DPT

Steven has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team since 2021. He has worked in the outpatient settings over the course of his career. Steven has experience in treating patients in several areas including the lower back, neck , shoulder, knee, hip and ankle, and is a part of the spinal advisory group and lower extremity group where he continues his knowledge for best practice. He has also obtained a certification in Select Medical's ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program, specializing in oncology rehabilitation. He also serves as PMC's BWC Champion. Steven is dedicated to treating patients with best practice and expanding his knowledge for the best patient outcomes. Steven completed his undergraduate education at Walsh University and received a doctorate of physical therapy in 2021 from Ohio University.

Rhonda Zourob, Patient Service Specialist

Rhonda has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team at the Pickerington Medical Campus since February 2022. She has over 20 years of executive and administrative assistant experience in the child care, private and financial sector. Rhonda welcomes patients into the center, runs her reports, schedule patients and obtains authorizations between other tasks always with a smile.
