Our Team

Ava Smucker, P.T., DPT

Ava has been a member of NovaCare since 2016. She has worked in the outpatient setting. Ava specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, pregnancy and postpartum treatment as well as vestibular rehabilitation. She completed her undergraduate education and doctorate of physical therapy from The Ohio State University. She also has certification and training in dry needling. Ava and her husband have three young children and enjoy spending time outdoors.

Doris Genzen, Patient Service Specialist

Doris has been a patient service specialist since 2011. She enjoys the variety and challenges the front desk offers and loves helping patients get the most out of their benefits, as well as seeing their progress with their therapy. She enjoys greeting the patients "It's a great day at NovaCare, how can I help you!" when she answers the phone. She verifies insurance, sets up new patient accounts, obtains authorizations and many other front desk duties on a daily basis. She is active in her church fellowship and has a special place in her heart for women who have survived human trafficking and other abuse survivors.

Megan Tucker, PTA

Megan has been a member of NovaCare since 2009. She has worked in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Megan specializes in treating patients who benefit from gait training, orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine services and pregnancy postpartum rehabilitation. Megan completed her undergraduate education at The Ohio State University and received a physical therapist assistant degree from Bradford School. She enjoys coaching competitive cheerleading and going to the park with her two golden retrievers.
