Our Team

Heidi Dunning, P.T., DPT

Heidi has been with NovaCare since 2015 with 8 years of clinical experience. She has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics. She enjoys working with general orthopedics along with the sports medicine population. She has been the center manager at Colerain since 2019. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida and her doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also level 1 and 2 dry needling certified. She and her husband have 2 sons and she enjoys gardening, travelling, exercising and cooking in her free time.

Dennis Strotman, P.T., MPT

Dennis has been working for the past 24 years in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. He treats a wide range orthopedic injuries, neurologic and balance disorders and post-surgical rehabilitations. He enjoys working to create individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages and is certified in Level 2 Dry Needling. Dennis is married and a father of three children. He enjoys hiking and camping in the outdoors. He also likes to exercise and watch his kids in their sports activities.

Samantha Scherman, PTA, ATC

Samantha has been a member of NovaCare Rehabilitation since 2005, with 17 years of clinical experience. She has worked in the outpatient, high school and collegiate settings. Samantha specializes in treating patients who benefit from orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine services. Samantha completed her undergraduate education at the University of Cincinnati and received a bachelor's of athletic training. Samantha also received a degree from Kent State University for a physical therapy assistant degree. In her spare time she enjoys music and traveling.

Jamie Brink, DPT

Jamie is a passionate member of the clinical team who approaches physical therapy with a patient-centered focus. He has clinical experience in a variety of settings including orthopedics, acute care and skilled nursing. He enjoys working with patients of any age and condition, and develops individualized treatment plans to achieve therapy goals. As a former multisport competitor, Jamie is motivated to ensure all athletes are able to return to sport at full strength and reduced injury risk.

Becca Host, P.T., DPT

Becca approaches treatment with her focus on the entire patient. She was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Cincinnati to pursue a career in physical therapy. Becca enjoys treating patients of all ages and activity levels. She has experience in various settings, such as skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient sports and orthopedics.
