Our Team
Shelly Poking, P.T., DPT, OMT-C, ATC
Shelly is a highly patient-focused professional. Her goal is to understand each patient as an individual, to learn about their specific goals, and to educate them and keep them active participants in their rehabilitation program. Shelly provides individual treatment plans with attention to manual therapy and the ultimate goal of improving biomechanics, decreasing pain, improving movement and returning each person to their preferred activities and prior level of optimal function. On a daily basis, Shelly is focused on compassionate care with an emphasis on the total well-being of her patients.
Heidi Davis, P.T., DPT
Heidi is skilled in treating patients with a wide range of orthopedic, post-operative and sports-related injuries from shoulder and upper and lower extremities to knee, spine and hip conditions. She provides exceptional patient care and acts as a patient advocate, assisting each individual throughout treatment and leading and encouraging them to reach their goals. Heidi is trained in the DiMaggio method for treatment of the lumbar spine, manual therapy of the upper and lower quarters, and clinical management of the injured worker.
As an athlete, Heidi understands the importance of physical activity in the rehabilitative process as well as the role it plays in promoting overall health and wellness. She believes that the more a patient is encouraged, motivated and educated the better the outcome of their physical therapy program.
Allison Schuler, P.T., DPT
Allison earned a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Penn State in 1989, bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from Mount St. Joseph University in 2017 and doctorate of physical therapy degree from Mount St. Joseph University in 2020. She works in the NovaCare Westside center as a staff physical therapist, is a certified lymphedema therapist as well as a certified ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation therapist. Allison enjoys working with lymphedema patients, as well as with a wide variety diagnoses with patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric. Allison's vision as a physical therapist is to educate the "why" regarding exercises in order to restore patients' levels of function and help them meet their physical therapy goals.
Nicholas Payne, OTR/L
Nick has been a member of NovaCare Physical Therapy since 2022, with 2 years of clinical experience. He has worked in the outpatient, inpatient and acute care settings. Nick specializes in treating patients with upper extremity injuries to include conditions affecting the neck, shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand. Nick completed his undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky and received a master's degree in the science of occupational therapy from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. He also has certification/training in dry needling. In his free time, Nick enjoys spending time with his son hiking, camping, mountain biking and rock climbing.
