NovaCare Rehabilitation in Belden Village, OH, was previously Concorde Therapy Group. Concorde Therapy Group was a familiar name in the Stark County community since 1988. As of January 1, 2022, Concorde Therapy Group became NovaCare Rehabilitation and we are proud to bring greater access to independent physical and occupational therapy throughout northern Ohio.

At NovaCare, our experienced clinical team will design an individualized plan of care that aligns with your specific goals in mind. Through experience, advanced clinical training and clear communication with our patients, our therapy team will give you the advantage in recovery.

We also offers a Fitness Program for individuals after their therapy to maintain an active routine. This includes access to our fitness facility, personal training, fitness classes, senior fitness services (Silver Sneakers, Silver Fit and Renew Active) and more.

Fitness Hours: Monday-Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; Saturday: 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.; Sunday: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Our Team

Jason Vickers, A.T., M.Ed, Center Manager

Jason has worked for NovaCare Rehabilitation, formerly Concorde Therapy Group, at the Belden office for 24 years treating general orthopedics and athletic injuries. He specializes in and has a deep passion for the injury evaluation, treatment and management of runners and swimmers of all ages. Jason has coordinated the medical coverage and served as the site athletic trainer of the OHSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships for the past 24 years. He received his bachelor's degree in sports medicine from Ohio Northern University in 1998 and his master's in education in 2004 from Ashland University. Jason is an avid runner having completed 28 marathons.

Kathy Arnold, A.T., M.A., Fitness Director

Kathy began her professional career 18 years ago. Her passion has been helping patients to challenge themselves in order to reach their outcomes. She prides herself in demonstrating two reps of every exercise she gives with proper form, while instructing patients to do 15. She loves to see the change in the mindset of patients and to hear the shock in their voice as they tell her what they are now able to do.

Deb King, OTR/L, CHT

Deborah brings 38 years of experience as an occupational and hand therapist, and enjoys treating problems associated with the complex hand, wrist and elbow. She has experiences within the acute care, inpatient rehab, home health and outpatient settings in both Chicago and her hometown of Pittsburgh. Deb has been practicing in Ohio for 28 years, primarily in outpatient facilities.

Brittany Blake, P.T., DPT

Brittany has been a member of NovaCare Rehabilitation since 2017, with 9.5 years of clinical experience. She has worked in the outpatient and inpatient rehab settings. Brittany specializes in treating patients who benefit from TMJ treatment, vestibular rehabilitation/concussion rehab, gait training/balance training, orthopedic rehabilitation for all body parts, but specifically the spine. Brittany completed her undergraduate education at Ohio Northern University in exercise physiology and received a doctorate of physical therapy from Walsh University. She also has certification/training in dry needling and cupping.

Yvette Marmon, P.T.

Yvette has over 30 years of clinical experience. She has worked her entire physical therapy career in an outpatient setting. Yvette specializes in treating patients with acute and chronic pain conditions including those dealing with osteoporosis, hip issues/dysfunction, women's health disorders, neck and back rehab and those in need of soft tissue mobilization and cupping. Yvette graduated from The Ohio State University in 1988, where she received her bachelor's degree. One of Yvette's passions is establishing excellent connection with her patient's which has lead to a great deal of repeat business and development of many friendships outside of the center.

Courtney Ridenour, P.T., DPT

Courtney has been a member of NovaCare Rehabilitation since 2022. She has worked mostly in outpatient orthopedics but also has had clinical experience with outpatient neurological conditions and acute therapy with focus on orthopedic surgeries and replacements. Courtney treats general orthopedic conditions, general weakness/balance deficits and has an LSVT Big certification for treating Parkinson's disease. Courtney completed her undergraduate at Akron University and received her doctorate of physical therapy at Walsh University.

Ethan Reynolds, P.T., DPT

Ethan began his career in military service with the Army. He then went on to complete his doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Saint Augustine in 2019. He also earned a manual certification with a specialization in cervical manipulation and dry needling, which he applies in his treatment of chronic headaches, cervicogenic dizziness, vertigo, plantar fasciitis, elbow dysfunctions, hip dysfunctions and chronic spine dysfunctions among other things.

Rick Hover, MSEd, AT-L, PTA

Originally from the Finger Lakes region (NY), Rick has lived in Ohio since 2008 and been a member of the NovaCare, formerly Concorde Therapy Group team since 2017. He has 8 years of clinical experience as a physical therapy assistant, having worked in the outpatient setting as well as acute care, inpatient rehab and long-term inpatient settings. His 21 years of athletic training experience also includes the outpatient setting, as well as providing athletic coverage at the high school and collegiate levels. Rick specializes in treating patients who benefit from balance and gait training, orthopedic rehabilitation, and sports medicine services. He received his bachelor's degree in sports medicine from Marietta College 2001, his master's in education from Alfred University (NY) in 2004 and associate's in physical therapy assisting from Kent State Ashtabula in 2014.

Matt Steele, PTA

Matt has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation Belden location since 2013. He has worked in the outpatient for 9 years with additional experience in the nursing home setting. Matt specializes in treating patients who benefit from balance and gait training, orthopedic rehabilitation and aquatic therapy.

Sarah Lind, PTA

Sarah has been a member of NovaCare Rehabilitation since 2014. With 17 years of clinical experience, she has treated numerous conditions including TMJ, and has training in IASTM and cupping. She is a sponge of knowledge who loves to leak onto others. Her drive and sincerity does not stop with her patients, it is felt by her co-workers as well. She received her degree from Stark State College.

Megan McCarthy, PTA

Megan graduated from Stark State College. Megan brings her energy and excitement into the clinic with a passion for helping others and enjoys treating a wide variety of patients. She loves to continue to learn how to best serve her patients. As an athlete and former patient herself, she has a great understanding of her patients and their experiences. Megan is very motivated and strives each day to help her patients decrease pain and restore function.

Theresa Stark, PTA

Theresa has 22 years of experience as a physical therapy assistant, 15 of those being with NovaCare Belden Village. She has always worked in the outpatient setting, enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions, she has been McKenzie-trained and specializes in treatments of the low back, neck and TMJ.

Sarah Tesch, PTA

Sarah has been a physical therapy assistant at NovaCare Rehabilitation for over five years. She specializes in aquatic therapy, TMJ treatment, orthopedic rehabilitation, manual techniques and treatment of the spine. Sarah acquired her associates degree in applied science and certification in physical therapy assisting at Stark State College.

Robin Covert, PTA

Robin has been an employee of NovaCare Rehabilitation since October 2021. Robin has 27 years total as a PTA, 20 years as an LMT, with a certification\designation as a medical massage practitioner. She spearheaded and managed the myofascial release and craniosacral program at Concorde Therapy Group over 25 years ago and also enjoyed 15 years working extensively with a diverse patient population in aquatic rehabilitation. Robin is passionate about connecting with people, releasing painful muscle and fascial restrictions, especially in the area of pelvic heath, and learning something new each and every day to add to the healing journey.

Jennifer Rutan, PTA

Jenny is a graduate from Stark State College and has been a physical therapy assistant for two years. During this time, she has worked both in outpatient and home health settings. She enjoys treating a variety of conditions, including TMJ, vestibular, orthopedic, deconditioning, sports medicine and chronic pain. She has a passion for educating patients on why a treatment is being performed and how it can help them reach their goals. She also loves to use exercise as a way to help a patient rebuild trust with their body as they see just how strong and capable they are.

Alexa Connelly, PTA

Alexa has been a member of NovaCare since October of 2021 but has been a physical therapy assistant for 7 years in the outpatient setting. She specializes in manual therapy; including myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, cupping and instrumental assisted soft tissue mobilization. Alexa graduated from Stark State College with her associates in physical therapist assistant.

Melanie Kosco, PTA

Melanie has been a member of NovaCare Rehabilitation since 2021, with 28 years of clinical experience. She has worked in acute care, inpatient rehab and outpatient settings. Melanie specializes in TMJ treatment, cervical and lumbar spine pain, orthopedic rehabilitation and return to sports. She is certified in cupping and experienced in kinesio taping. Melanie received an associates degree from Stark State College. She enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her family.

Beth Wagner, PTA

Beth is a physical therapist assistant with 8 years of experience in the outpatient setting. She is a former collegiate track heptathlete and mom of three. She received a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Malone University and an associates of applied science from Kent State University. Beth is skilled in treating a wide variety of orthopedic, balance and sports medicine related conditions, with specializations including temporomandibular dysfunction and lumbar pathology. Beth is passionate about making connections with her patients, striving for individualized care that is tailored specifically to the needs and functional outcomes of each patient.

Jessica Marion, PTA

Jessica has been a member of NovaCare Rehabilitation since 2021, with 5 years of clinical experience. She has worked in the outpatient setting since graduating. Jessica specializes in myofascial release, craniosacral, cupping, manual therapy and lymphedema management. Jessica completed her associates of physical therapy assisting at Stark State Collage, she is also a licensed massage therapist. Her and her husband are expecting their first child in December of 2022 and enjoy visiting the national parks around the country.

Thomas Smith , PTA

Thomas has been employed by NovaCare since October 2021, when they acquired his former employer of 14 years where he started as a new grad. He developed hands-on skills influenced mostly by "John Barnes Myofascial approach" mentored by 15-year veterans of the specialty. He has worked solely as a manual therapist, for which he is passionate and devoted. He received an associate degree from Stark State College.

Erin Shuss, A.T., EdD

Erin is an athletic trainer who started her career at NovaCare in 2016. Norn and raised in Pennsylvania, she has made the Canton area her home away from home. With a doctorate of education in athletic training, she strives to tailor exercise programs to each individual and uses evidence-based practice to ensure patients receive optimal care. Her focus is to always inform patients on all aspects of their injury; the good and the bad. Through her exercise sessions, patients will acquire foundational knowledge in functional movements, mobility and strength training. She has great compassion for each individual.
