Cassidy McKelvey
Cassidy McKelvey, a 13-year-old soccer player, sustained a growth plate fracture in her right ankle during a game in March. She spent four weeks in a cast, followed by time in a brace to protect and support her healing ankle. She was referred to our center with the goal of returning to soccer and participating fully in gym class. Working with our clinical team, Cassidy began a structured rehabilitation program tailored to her injury and athletic goals. Her treatment focused on restoring ankle mobility through targeted stretching, as well as strengthening her foot, ankle, lower extremities and core. As her strength improved, her program progressed to include balance and proprioceptive (body awareness) exercises, plyometric movements and soccer-specific drills to prepare her for return to play. Cassidy was all smiles as she was recently cleared to return to the soccer field and resume full activity at school.
Caitlyn McKelvy
Caitlyn McKelvy is an avid dancer. After suffering an ankle injury last February, she sought help from our physical therapist and dance rehabilitation specialist. Our team created a personalized treatment and exercise program to help Caitlyn regain strength, mobility and confidence. Following hard work and dedication, Caitlyn was recently back to dancing at the Steel Mill Fair and is gearing up for an upcoming recital. We're thrilled to see you back on your feet, Caitlyn!
Mary Jane
Last summer, Mary Jane "MJ" Gardner had both of her knees replaced. Determined to get back to skiing with her family, she turned to us to guide her recovery. Through a personalized program that included strengthening exercises, balance training, range-of-motion work and functional-movement drills, MJ put in the hard work needed to rebuild her strength and confidence. By early winter, her knees were feeling fantastic, and she was ready to hit the slopes. Recently, MJ accomplished her goal: Skiing with her family in Sun Valley, Idaho. She shared these incredible moments with us and says her knees feel great -- and she has more big-mountain ski trips planned this season. Congrats, MJ. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. We can't wait to see where your new knees take you next!
