Our Team

Kevin Lacey , P.T., DPT

Kevin graduated from Northumbria University in England with a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and doctorate in physical therapy. He emigrated to the United States and lived in Chicago where he worked in a trauma rehabilitation hospital treating post-stroke, head and spinal cord injuries. Kevin moved from Chicago to Kalamazoo in 2000 and opened Lacey Physical Therapy Center. In May 2023, Kevin joined the NovaCare Rehabilitation team following an acquisition.

Ian Heinicke, P.T., DPT

Ian is a licensed physical therapist with experience in outpatient orthopedics. Ian received a bachelor's degree in clinical exercise science in 2015 and doctorate of physical therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2018. Ian enjoys working with patients from different backgrounds to achieve their goals, whether it's to return to their sport or just get through their day with less pain. Ian is certified in blood flow restriction therapy and can perform dry needling.

Gustavo Bonilla Alejandro, PTA

Gustavo was born and raised in Puerto Rico and is fluent in both Spanish and English. He earned his PTA associate degree and his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Keiser University. As a former collegiate baseball player, he enjoys helping others and spending his spare time traveling or with family. He's certified to perform blood flow restriction therapy and has an extensive background in sports.

Mike Waldron, PTA

Mike has experience in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, post-surgical care and movement analysis. He earned an associates of applied science to become a physical therapist assistant in 2016 from Washtenaw Community College. Mike is certified to perform blood flow restriction therapy as well as functional movement screening (FMS) and selective functional movement assessment (SFMA).

Hand Therapy

Our certified hand therapists (CHT) provide comprehensive and industry-leading treatment for hand, wrist, arm, elbow and shoulder injuries or conditions. Our team will work with you to create an individualized program to return you to work, life and athletics as soon as possible.

Pediatric Therapy

We offer multi-disciplinary, pediatric therapy services to help children reach developmental milestones and their full potential. Therapy methods are typically given in one-on-one sessions, using play-based activities to gain insight into how a child moves, thinks and expresses thoughts and emotions. Additional specialized programs, such as feeding therapy, sensory/emotional regulation, toe walking and torticollis, are also available. We are committed to providing an exceptional experience that enhances each child's participation in desired family, community and school activities.

When you need dedicated, sports-specific care, look to our Select Sports Centers of Excellence (COE). Our COE designation conveys the highest quality in sports medicine delivery. It's an endorsement of expertise in sports as a clinical practice.

In these centers, you'll work with specially trained, sports medicine physical therapists. Their advanced clinical skills and sports experience can help all levels of athletes.
