Our Team

Ron Spicer, P.T., MPT, OCS

Ron is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist and he enjoys working with a wide variety of orthopedic injuries and neurological conditions affecting adolescent to geriatric populations. He was born and raised in Ellicott City, MD and has served the Howard county community for 20 years as a physical therapist with NovaCare Rehabilitation, and over 15 years as center manager at the River Hill location. When he isn't working, Ron enjoys spending quality time coaching his 2 children and engaging in all of the activities with which they participate. Ron likes biking, hiking and camping and he is also an avid Orioles, Ravens and Terps fan!

Hilary Dean, M.S., P.T., DPT

Hilary helps people of all ages recover from orthopedic and neurological injuries, pain and disability to return to the activities that they love most. She delivers effective, evidence-based treatment with a patient-centered approach using careful listening and empathy to integrate personal, environmental and social factors affecting recovery. She has received specialized training in concussion and vestibular physical therapy through NovaCare, and is currently training for certification in ReVital cancer rehabilitation. Hilary received her doctorate from the top-ranked University of Delaware physical therapy program, and joined NovaCare 2021. She is a member of the orthopedic, oncology, sports and aquatic sections of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Terri Beck, P.T.

Terri graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy. She has worked primarily in outpatient settings but enjoyed working with acute neurological and orthopedic disorders in the inpatient setting at the beginning of her career. She has worked at the NovaCare River Hill center since 2007. She considers herself a generalist in practice with experience in vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management and craniosacral therapy. She is a native Marylander and has been a resident of Howard county since 1991.

Per Jensen, OTR/L, CHT

Per is a Danish-trained occupational therapist and certified hand therapist who has specialized in treatment of the upper extremity with emphasis on elbow, wrist and hand since 1990. Per treats all surgical and non-surgical upper extremity injuries. Per fabricates custom splints and is well-known among hand surgeons for the quality and expertise of his work with clientele.

TJ Martin, P.T., DPT

TJ earned a bachelor's degree from James Madison University in 2017 and graduated with his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2020. He joined the NovaCare Rehabilitation team in 2025.

TJ enjoys treating patients with general orthopedic needs, post-operative care, fall prevention/balance training, vestibular disorders including vertigo, and Parkinson's Disease.

TJ has completed continuing education including McKenzie courses for lumbar and cervical spine and is a LSVT BIG certified clinician for Parkinson's Disease.

TJ enjoys hiking with his wife and dog, playing softball, playing the saxophone and watching the Orioles, Ravens and JMU sports.
