I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) after knee surgery last October. I was told that I would need ongoing physical therapy and was referred to the NovaCare Northeast location. Upon my arrival I was met by kind, caring and very professional staff members. After spending five weeks with a great amount of pain and swelling, I was very nervous about starting physical therapy and worried that I might re-injure my knee.

While I received outstanding care from Florina Gallagher, PTA, David Weiss, PTA, Shawn Pfaehler, PTA, I worked extensively with Rachel Yamin, P.T. Rachel has a caring approach and is a true professional. She greeted me with a smile and words of encouragement prior to each physical therapy session. Her knowledge in regards to CRPS helped her to personalize my treatment and obtain the best results. She was also very quick when it came to thinking of new and different exercises when I was experiencing a lot of pain or having difficulty completing certain exercises. Only therapists with good training and experience can be so flexible and are able to make changes on the fly.

The entire staff was always keeping a close eye on all of the patients, regardless of who they were treating. The Northeast team worked in complete harmony to ensure everyone did the exercises correctly and safely. Thank you to the entire Northeast team for your professional demeanor and helping me on my road to recovery!
