Our Team
John Kushner, MPT, ATC, COMT, Center Manager
John has been a physical therapist with NovaCare since 2001. He specializes in sports medicine, orthopedics and a variety of other neuromusculoskeletal conditions. John graduated from Waynesburg University with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine and from Chatham University with a master's degree in physical therapy. He has certification in orthopedic manual therapy through the Ola Grimsby institute. John enjoys golfing, watching sports and doing activities with his two sons.
Cassandra Tworzydlo, P.T., DPT
Cassandra has been a physical therapist with NovaCare Rehabilitation since 2019. She earned her bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science at Gannon University and her doctorate of physical therapy at Saint Francis University. Cassandra has experience in treating orthopedics, lymphedema and women's health. She currently specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and is the lead pelvic health therapist at the Waynesburg, Uniontown and Washington locations.
Sydney Gail Samarin, PTA
Sydney has been a physical therapist assistant with NovaCare since 2017. Sydney is a graduate from California University of Pennsylvania with an associate degree in health science. Sydney specializes in orthopedics; however, enjoys treating patients with vestibular disorders and lymphedema. Sydney is experienced with hands-on skilled interventions such as manual therapy techniques, cupping, blood-flow restriction and instrumented-assisted soft tissue in order to achieve optimal performance. Sydney loves spending time with her friends, family and dogs.
