Our Team

Matt Shedlock, M.S., P.T., COMT

Matt graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with both a bachelor's and master's degree in physical therapy in 1999. He has been the center manager in the Oakland center since 2001 and specializes in sports physical therapy, ergonomics, spinal pain, hypermobility and post-offer employment testing. He has worked with athletes up to the professional and Olympic levels. As a certified coach through USA Hockey and USA Soccer, Matt also enjoys working with youth teams in the Pittsburgh area to help develop young athletes.

Julia Morris, P.T., DPT

Julia received a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023. She graduated from Penn State University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree. in kinesiology prior to her graduate studies. During her time at Pitt, she had the opportunity to work in outpatient orthopedic, acute care and pediatric settings. In her free time, Julia enjoys going to workout classes and running, baking for friends and family and traveling to warmer weather.

Claire Shipley, Patient Service Specialist

Claire joined our NovaCare team in September 2021. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in public health from Duquesne University. She is here to help understand insurance coverage, and what your outpatient care would look like. She is also passionate in creating a friendly atmosphere, where people should feel excited about going to an outpatient facility and that they are getting the best care possible. Claire is originally from Philadelphia and enjoys rooting for her Philly teams and exploring new restaurants.
