Our Team

Shawn Maloney, Center Manager

Shawn has been a physical therapist for more than 13 years with primary experience in treating orthopaedic and sports injuries, worker's compensation, and chronic pain. He is a board certified specialist in orthopaedics through the APTA and recently became a therapeutic pain specialist through the International Spine and Pain Institute. Shawn loves to exercise, read and follow New York sports.

William Rapp, PTA, Center Manager

William is a 2010 graduate from Southern Illinois University with a degree in physical therapist assistant. Outside of spending time with his family, William enjoys gardening, home-brewing, weight-lifting and the Minnesota Vikings.

Desiree McCaslin, P.T., DPT

Desiree earned a bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College and doctorate in physical therapy from Arcadia University. She has been working in outpatient physical therapy for 13 years, treating a variety of conditions, primarily orthopaedic. Her special interests include spinal, post-operative and athletic injuries. Desiree has experience in both McKenzie Method and Maitland manual therapy. In her free time, Desiree likes to participate in CrossFit.

Kurt Williams, P.T., DPT

Kurt earned a bachelor's degree from Penn State and doctorate in physical therapy from Touro College in 2018. He enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and athletic injuries. Kurt enjoys using a combination of therapeutic exercise and manual therapy techniques to help decrease his patient’s pain and return them to full functioning. His other interests include exercise, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Katerina Axiotis, PTA

Katerina graduated in 2017 from Harcum College's physical therapist assistant program. She earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from West Chester University. Katerina enjoys working with orthopaedic patients, especially athletes. Her hobbies include coaching soccer, watching football and baseball, doing puzzles, reading and exploring local breweries.

Missy Trader, O.T., CHT

Melissa is an accomplished occupational therapist and certified hand therapist with more than 20 years of exceptional patient care to her credit. Missy has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of screening, evaluation and treatment of the upper extremity and is especially proficient in the rehabilitation of injuries to the elbow, wrist and hand. She has worked with repetitive strain injuries, work injuries, post-surgical cases, tendon and nerve injury, surgical repair and splinting. She also has experience working with hand surgeons in Boston, Washington, D.C. and locally.

Jadyn Sharber, MSOT, OTR/L

Jadyn Sharber is a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence in patient care. From the moment a patient comes through the door, she is fully engaged in creating an outstanding rehabilitative experience with compassion, empathy and expertise. Jadyn has specialized training in hand therapy, chronic pain, concussion, and Parkinson’s disease treatment. She enjoys connecting with each patient and growing to understand their unique needs and goals throughout their path to recovery. Jadyn is proficient in Spanish and connects well with Spanish and English speaking patients alike.

Brenda Lombana, Patient Service Specialist

Brenda joined the NovaCare Rehabilitation team in October of 2018. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. Brenda enjoys spending time with her children and family. In the summer she loves water-related activities.
