Our Team

Jessica Urey, P.T., DPT

Jessica has been a physical therapist at NovaCare's MaxSports location since 2012. She has 10 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine setting where she enjoys treating patients of all backgrounds. She has experience treating runners, high school and collegiate athletes and weekend warriors. She also has experience in injury prevention, acute and chronic injuries and post-operative protocols. She has a special interest in foot and ankle rehabilitation. Jessica completed her undergraduate degree in biology from The Ohio State University and received a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. Jessica loves spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, hiking new trails and traveling.

Benjamin Schmidt, P.T., DPT

Ben has been a physical therapist at NovaCare since August 2022. Ben earned a bachelor's degree in sports sciences at Wright State University and doctorate of physical therapy at San Diego State University. Ben has prior experience in the health and fitness profession and specializes in outpatient orthopedics with a focus on athlete and weekend warriors. His passion is teaching and empowering patients to move their bodies in a holistic and pain-free way.

Marci Engardio, P.T., DPT

Marci has been a member of the NovaCare Rehabilitation team since graduating from Ohio University in 2009 and in leadership since 2014. She is a physical therapist by trade and is especially passionate about working with patients with low back pain, amputations and oncology related diagnoses. Outside of work, Marci adores spending time with her husband and little one while exploring all that Columbus has to offer. She loves to travel and considers herself a true foodie!

Lauren Malone, Patient Service Specialist

Lauren has been a member with NovaCare Rehabilitation since December 2022. She has 15 years of customer service experience and enjoys helping patients with their care. Lauren verifies insurance, obtains authorizations and welcomes patients and schedules appointments. She loves spending time with her son outside of work.

Meghan Howes, P.T., DPT

Meghan joined the NovaCare team as a physical therapist in 2023. She earned an undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering from Bucknell University and Virginia Tech before pursuing a doctorate of physical therapy at Radford University. Meghan specializes in outpatient orthopedics and loves helping people of all ages and ability levels decrease their pain, improve their strength and return to the activities they enjoy.
