Our Team

Heather Briggs, DPT, CLT, Market Manager

Heather an accomplished clinician who specializes in the treatment of work-related injuries, foot and ankle injuries, vestibular/balance disorders and is certified in the treatment of lymphedema. As well as holding the title of center manager for our Delran location, she is the market manager to several area centers. Throughout her years of practice, Heather has earned a distinguished record in the medical community for outstanding patient rehabilitation. She received a bachelor's, master's and doctorate degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Maureen Castello, OTD, CHT

Maureen is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist with more than 27 years of patient care. Maureen has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of upper extremity injuries and dysfunctions. Maureen received her bachelor's degree in 1984 from Temple University, certificate in upper extremity rehabilitation in 2001 from Drexel University, and clinical doctorate in occupational therapy in 2010 from Rocky Mountain University. She became a certified hand therapist in 1996 and was certified in lymphedema management in 2003.

Jennifer Rowand, DPT

Jennifer Rowand has been a member of the NovaCare clinical team from the beginning of her career and has a wealth of experience treating a wide spectrum of orthopaedic cases and specializes in shoulder and cervical spine injuries. A seasoned clinician in the workers comp setting, Jennifer focuses on the safe and efficient return to work of her patients with an emphasis on proper body mechanics to avoid re-injury. Currently, Jennifer has successfully completed training and is certified in Strength After Breast Cancer, an evidence-based exercise program for breast cancer survivors.

Ayssa Heimerling, PTA

Alyssa is a physical therapist assistant with NovaCare’s Southampton center and has a wealth of knowledge in the treatment of orthopedic injuries and conditions. Alyssa specializes in the treatment of patients with shoulder, knee, and low back conditions. She is also skilled in soft tissue mobilization of the neck and back for issues such as headaches, and chronic pain. Alyssa incorporates physician approved yoga and Pilates techniques for a variety of diagnoses. She is also trained in rehabilitation for prosthetics.

Robert DiMaio, DPT

Robert is a physical therapist at NovaCare’s Delran center. Rob enjoys treating a diverse patient population with a particular interest in sports medicine and orthopaedic injuries. He is passionate about physical fitness and translates that enthusiasm and determination to his patients as he encourages them to strive for an overall healthy and active lifestyle. Rob received a bachelor's degree in clinical exercise science from Virginia Commonwealth University and doctorate of physical therapy from Rutgers University.

Telerehab Program

At NovaCare Rehabilitation, we offer physical and occupational therapy from the comfort and safety of your home through out telerehab program. If you are limited by travel, injury or a weakened immune system, we will virtually bring our services to you.

ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation

Cancer patients and survivors often face painful, function-limiting consequences brought on by acute treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation and/or surgery. Cancer rehabilitation can help those individuals regain strength, physical function and the independence they may have lost due to cancer or its treatment.

Hand Therapy

Hand therapy focuses on rehabilitation of the hand and upper limbs and is the merging of occupational therapy and physical therapy theory and practice. Several of our highly skilled therapists go on to become certified hand therapists and are proficient in the treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions.

Telerehab with a Spanish Speaking Therapist

For our Spanish speaking patients, NovaCare Rehabilitation in Pennsville, NJ is now offering telerehab with a Spanish speaking therapist.  We are offering  therapy from the comfort and safety of your home through our telerehab program.
