Success Stories

Giselle Wiitanen

Giselle Wiitanen plays varsity volleyball, basketball and track at her high school. During basketball season, she tore her meniscus which resulted in surgery. Her injury caused Giselle to miss her senior year of playing volleyball. "It has impacted me not only physically but emotionally. Having to sit there and watch what I've worked very hard for go by when there was nothing I could do was one of the worst things I've ever done." A few days after surgery, Giselle started physical therapy at our center with Physical Therapist Lauren Caldwell and Physical Therapist Assistant Lyndsay Wingle. "We are now in basketball season and I'm excited to play my last season with the girls I have played with since third grade." We are thrilled to have helped Giselle return to sports. Thank you for choosing NovaCare Rehabilitation and good luck with your upcoming basketball season, Giselle!
