Columbia - Central MD Rehab

John is a graduate of Boston University and has been practicing physical therapy since 1986. He has more than 32 years of center manager experience. John received manual therapy certification in 1991 from the Institute for Physical Therapy and orthopedic specialist certification in 1993 from the American Physical Therapy Association's Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. His clinical focus is treating a wide variety of orthopedic and sports injuries with particular interests in the spine, shoulders, hips and knees. John is an active member of the Howard County community. It has been his honor to lead the fine CMR team since 2011.

Heather received a doctorate of physical therapy in 2013 from University of Maryland Eastern Shore and bachelor's degree in biology in 2010 from Stevenson University. Heather has worked for NovaCare since 2007 as a rehabilitation aide in the Eldersburg center and transitioned to a physical therapist at CMR where she enjoys treating both orthopedic and neurological patients. Heather is certified in LSVT BIG for Parkinson's patients and trigger point dry needling.

Amanda received a doctorate of physical therapy in 2013 from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She received an undergraduate degree in health administration and public policy at UMBC where she also played field hockey. She enjoys working with a diverse population including orthopedic and neurological patients.

Sheila received a doctorate of physical therapy in 2021 from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2017 from Salisbury University. Sheila joined us in 2021 and enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic and neurological patients. She also enjoys food, weight training, cracking jokes and spending time with friends and family.

Laura received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland. She has 27 years as a treating physical therapist and 19 years of experience within the oncology rehabilitation field. An exceptional manual therapist, Laura's special interest in oncology rehabilitation, including Lymphedema therapy, has led her to help cancer survivors with their physical therapy needs since 1994. She also authored a chapter in the book, Managing Breast Cancer: A Guide to Living Well through Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Helen graduated from the University of Maryland and has worked in a variety of settings, including 10 years with a practice of orthopedic surgeons. She brought a wealth of clinical knowledge to CMR when she joined in 2006. Her clinical interests include disorders of the extremities and spine and she is certified in strengthen your game-soccer.

Brody received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Saint Vincent College and master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. Brody has traveled the country and obtained a wide range of experience. He is experienced with patients with cognitive and neurological impairments, work-related injuries, orthopedic injuries and injuries of the upper extremity. He had a successful collegiate career with soccer and triathlon leading to his love of running, hiking and the outdoors. His treatment sessions are filled with positive vibes and plenty of smiles.

Jessica earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Rutgers University and associates degree for physical therapy assistant from Howard Community College. Before becoming a physical therapy assistant, Jessica has worked as a physical therapy rehab tech for more than five years in different outpatient facilities. Having experience in an outpatient setting prior to completing the program gave her a strong foundation in working with a diverse population of patients. She looks to expand her knowledge of various patient populations, especially neuro, while working with the NovaCare team. Jessica enjoys staying active and making memorable moments with friends and family. She is also LSVT-BIG certified for Parkinson's patients.
