Welcome to RUSH Kids Pediatric Therapy. We look forward to helping your child with their physical, occupational, speech and applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy needs. Our highly-trained clinical team will design a specialized plan of care that is just right for your child. Through experience, advanced clinical training and clear communication with our patients and their parents, our therapy team will assist your child in achieving their highest potential by reaching their developmental milestones for school, activity and life. We are proud to serve you and are committed to providing an exceptional experience that promotes healing and enhances your child's participation in desired family, community and school activities. 

We offer specialized programs including feeding therapy, individual and group social pragmatic therapy, mindfulness based sensory processing and emotional regulation intervention and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in our ABA program. Learn more about our specialized services here.

We are conveniently located at the corner of Oak Street and Randall Road and easily accessible from I-88. Our team is committed to providing a collaborative and supportive therapy experience in a friendly and fun setting that makes kids and families feel at home.

Our Team

Margaret “Maggie” Meyers, M.S., CCC-SLP

Maggie brings a high level of energy, personality and creativity to the patients she serves. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Maggie enjoys treating children with a variety of communication disorders and has a passion for being a mentor to graduate speech-language pathology clinicians as well as newly graduated clinicians.

Keri Buma, M.A., CCC-SLP

Keri has been a member of RUSH Kids Pediatric Therapy since 2007. Keri focuses on treating the whole child and specializes in treating children with childhood apraxia of speech, motor speech disorders and oral-motor feeding disorders. Keri earned her undergraduate education at Calvin College and master's degree in speech-language pathology from University of Illinois. She is also the regional speech center coordinator of clinical education for our Chicagoland centers and co-leader of Select's national pediatric journal club. Keri and her partner have two young children and enjoy traveling and being outdoors.

Megan Tierney, MOT, OTR/L, Center Manager

Megan has been an occupational therapist at our North Aurora center since 2008. In 2019, she assumed the role of center manager for our location. Additionally, she has four years of experience working as an occupational therapist in the public school system. She combines a high level of compassion and calm presence grounded in the principles of mindfulness with her knowledge and experience and aims to create a welcoming, supportive and beneficial experience for patients. She enjoys reading, visiting local forest preserves and spending time in nature with family.

Emily Honeyman, MSOT, OTR/L

Emily is a pediatric occupational therapist at RUSH Kids in North Aurora. Emily enjoys working with and supporting children and families to promote success in everyday occupations. She brings a high level of compassion to her treatments, which allows her to meet patients where they are at and build upon their strengths. She has a wide range of experience including offering aquatic therapy services. Working for RUSH Kids allows her to help her patients live their life to the fullest.

Wendy Goes, MSOT, OTR/L,

Wendy brings creativity and energy to the patients she services. She has been a member of RUSH Kids Pediatric Therapy since 2022. Wendy enjoys treating children with sensory integration challenges and developmental delays. Wendy earned her undergraduate education at Northern Illinois University and master's degree in occupational therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago. She enjoys spending time playing video games on her PC that she built as well as spending time with her dog and cat.

Stephanie Bujak, MOT, OTR/L

Stephanie is an occupational therapist at RUSH Kids and she brings a high level of fun and personality to the patients she treats. She is from Minnesota, and has lived in Illinois for the last six years. She enjoys working with all kinds of children, especially those with sensory processing differences. Stephanie has experience in aquatic therapy. She believes that child lead play is the fastest and easiest way to make an impact in the lives of the children she treats.

Samantha Barber, O.T.

Samantha has a background in Autism and values inclusion for neurodivergent and neurotypical kids. She aspires to help each client identify what is meaningful to them, and then uses that to help them access it in the world through intentional play. Sam brings a calming and fun energy to each session that encourages each client express themselves and explore the world around them safely.

Sara Martinez, M.S., BCBA

Sara has been a member of RUSH Kids Pediatric Therapy since 2020. She has worked in the outpatient and home health settings. Sara has focused her continuing education on acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma-informed therapy, behavioral supports for sleep and ABA supervision. Sara completed her undergraduate education at Southern New Hampshire University and master's degree at Capella University. Sara enjoys reading, spending time with family and outdoor activities.

Amanda Grau, M.A, BCBA

Amanda has been a member of the team at RUSH Kids since 2019. She has worked in the outpatient and home health settings. Amanda has special interest in trauma informed care, augmentative and alternative communication, acceptance and commitment therapy and interdisciplinary collaboration. She also has certification in PEAK. Amanda completed her undergraduate education at Northern Illinois University and master's degree at Ball State University. Amanda likes to hone in on her culinary skills and be in nature.

Keriann Groen, DPT, P.T.

Keriann earned a doctorate of physical therapy from Midwestern University. She brings a high level of energy and personality to the patients she treats. She was born and raised in Sugar Grove, IL. Keriann has a background in early intervention. She loves working with infants with torticollis and has a passion for children with cerebral palsy and developmental delays.
