Our Team

Myla Teemer, P.T., Multi-Site Manager

Myla specializes in treating patients neuromuscular conditions, pediatric incontinence, torticollis, developmental gross motor deficits and gait deviations. Myla earned a bachelor's degree at De La Salle University in the Philippines. She completed an eight-week NDT training and attended numerous continuing education in pediatric treatments throughout the years. She enjoys taking road trips with family and participating in various community events.

Devida Braverman, M.A., CCC-SLP/L

Devida has worked in settings including schools, residential treatment centers and outpatient multidisciplinary centers. Devida specializes in treating patients who benefit from feeding, oral-motor and swallowing intervention and speech and language therapy. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and master's degree from Northwestern University. Devida and her husband have two girls and enjoy hiking anyplace outdoors as well as nature photography.

Jassica Durek, CF-SLP

Jassica is a speech-language pathologist who is completing her clinical fellowship year. She works with children at both of our Libertyville centers. She has a bachelor's degree in human development and family science and master's degree in speech-language pathology. Jassica is fully bilingual in Polish and English. She loves collaborating with caregivers and aims to create a welcoming, supportive and beneficial experience for everyone who enters the center. Jassica continues to grow her clinical knowledge and treatment skills through continuing education.

Andrew Pono, P.T.

Andrew is a pediatric physical therapist. He has clinical experience in outpatient pediatrics, orthopedics, neurological rehab and vestibular therapy. He has a bachelor's degree in psychology and doctorate of physical therapy. His special interests include treating children with orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions, torticollis and toe walking. He enjoys helping kids of all ages to improve their mobility and strength to be able to play and interact with the world around them. Andrew is interested in continuing his education and expanding to treat children with genetic and neuromuscular conditions and gain more experience with pediatric pain management. Andrew enjoys working out, watching his favorite shows and spending time with friends and family.

Megan Derrig, O.T., OTR/L, LSVT-BIG

Megan has worked in outpatient, inpatient and home health settings. Megan has training in DIR/Floortime, Interactive Metronome and ABA therapy. Megan completed her undergraduate and master's degree in occupational therapy at Xavier University. Megan is passionate about mental health, sensory integration and working with children with ASD. Megan empowers patients through meaningful, evidence-based interventions and believes strongly in a family-based approach to care. Megan's personality brings a high level of energy, engagement and fun to sessions.

Madeline Lonergan, CF-SLP

Madeline has clinical experience in outpatient pediatrics and the school setting. Her special interests include treating children with language, phonological, fluency disorders and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She enjoys building relationships and helping kids of all ages to improve their communication. Madeline also enjoys spending time with family and family and going on walks.

Therese Hadick, M.A., CCC-SLP

Therese has worked in the private practice and outpatient settings. Therese specializes in treating patients who have receptive and expressive language disorders and those who have speech sound disorders. She enjoys treatment sessions focusing on child-led, play-based activities and individualizing sessions toward each patient's interests for maximum engagement and participation. Therese completed her undergraduate education at Illinois State University and master's degree in speech-language pathology from Central Michigan University. She and her husband enjoy camping, hiking in National Parks and traveling.

Rebecca Schumm, MOT, OTR/L

Rebecca joined our RUSH kids Libertyville team as a pediatric occupational therapist in February 2024. Rebecca has three years of pediatric experience working with diverse clinical populations in the school-based and outpatient settings. Rebecca views each child as a "child of possibilities" and is passionate about providing holistic, family-centered care from a play-based perspective. She has special interests in feeding therapy, pelvic heath and handwriting difficulties. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys playing water polo, reading novels and cooking.
