Our Team

Hetal Kilkarni, P.T., MPT

Hetal earned a bachelor's degree in physical therapy in 2007 and master's degree in physical therapy in 2010 from MGH Institute of Health Professions. Hetal brings a high level of energy and personality to the patients she treats. She is a follower of evidence-based practice and published author of a Meta-analysis on the shoulder joint in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Hetal has completed numerous continuing education courses. She loves to educate and empower patients and aims to make a measurable and positive difference in their lives.

Stacy Almanza, P.T., DPT, COMT

Stacy earned a bachelor's degree from University of Northern Iowa and doctorate in physical therapy from Northwestern University. She is a pelvic health and ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation certified therapist, certified manual therapist and certified athletic trainer. Stacy has further specialization in sports medicine and postural restoration.

Kenneth Barnett, P.T., DPT

Ken earned a bachelor's degree in health science and doctorate of physical therapy from Northern Illinois University. He completed continuing education in tendinopathy management, patella-femoral instability, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques and elbow and hand taping techniques. Ken has also attended Combined Sections Meetings. He enjoys treating a diverse patient population, and has a passion for promoting patient self-efficacy to assist with wellness in a holistic manner toward wholesome care.

Nicole Kramer, P.T., DPT

Nicole earned a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and doctorate of physical therapy from Marquette University. She has continued further education and research in diastasis recti, pelvic pain in men and women, urinary incontinence, constipation and fecal incontinence. Nicole enjoys treating patients of all kinds, but has increased experience treating pelvic floor conditions. She has a passion for promoting wellness for all and therapy for adults and pediatrics.

Jacob Cingano, P.T., DPT

Jacob earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in sports studies and doctorate in physical therapy from Andrews University. He was formerly a certified personal trainer. He brings a high level of energy and personality to the patients he treats. Jacob enjoys treating a variety of patients and has a passion for promoting health and wellness. He believes in providing knowledge, education, and empowerment for self-efficacy for patients.

Davis Hallberg, P.T., DPT

Davis earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Bellarmine University and doctorate of physical therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago. He has completed continuing education in dry needling, knee and shoulder rehabilitation and fall prevention. Davis strives to provide patient-centered care by creating individualized treatment programs. He enjoys treating a variety of patients, but has a passion for treating orthopedic conditions.

Phebe Philip, P.T., DPT

Phebe earned a bachelor's degree in biology and doctorate of physical therapy from D'Youville College. She has taken courses in urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain and peripartum MSK care. Phebe is certified in CAPP-PH Level 1 and 2. She enjoys treating patients of all kinds and has a passion for promoting wellness through education, empowerment and exercises for all things pelvic pain.

Justin Yeung, P.T., DPT

Justin is a physical therapist assistant with RUSH Physical Therapy's Harrison center. Movement serving a functional, recreational and therapeutic purpose has played a vital role in his life. He is committed to sharing his knowledge to help others and give back to his communities.

Lauren Andersen, P.T., DPT, NCS

Lauren earned a bachelor's degree in health science from Purdue University and doctorate of physical therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago. She is also a board certified neurological clinical specialist and certified brain injury specialist. Lauren has been treating since 2009, primarily patients with neurological injuries. She is passionate about improving patients' level of function. Lauren is studying to earn a master's degree in health systems management.

Natalie Rosenstein, P.T., DPT, RYT, CMPTP

Natalie earned a bachelor's degree in zoology, biology-molecular biology in 2000 and master's degree in physical therapy in 2005 from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She then earned a doctorate of physical therapy in 2014 from Temple University. Natalie is a certified myofascial trigger point therapist. She has a special interest working with medically-complex patients. She has worked with patients through their spectrum of care from acute care to inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient physical therapy. Natalie is a registered yoga instructor and enjoys educating patients on the mind-body connection and bringing mindfulness into their movement.

Cara Murphy, P.T., DPT

Cara earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and doctorate of physical therapy from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. She has been practicing since 2002 and is certified in trigger point dry needling. Cara has a special interest in treating back pain, GI disorders, pregnancy-related pain and pelvic pain in men and women.

Sofia Zafer, P.T., DPT

Sofia earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology then her doctorate of physical therapy from University of Illinois-Chicago in 2019. She has completed multiple courses in a wide array of neurological, geriatric, fall prevention and musculoskeletal disorders. Sofia grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and has a passion for treating neurological disorders.

Pooja Shah, PTA

Pooja earned her bachelor in physiotherapy in India where she was born and raised. In 2014, she moved to the United States where she has completed continuing education in treatment of shoulder impingement, stroke rehabilitation and effective exercise dosing for optimal recovery and beyond.

Elyse Hoelzer, OTR/L, M.S., CLT

Elyse earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and minor in gerontology and master's degree in occupational therapy from Rush University. Elyse is also a certified lymphedema therapist. She has completed numerous continuing education courses including lymphedema, breast cancer, stroke rehabilitation and upper extremity rehabilitation. She specializes in lymphedema treatment for upper and lower extremities, breast cancer and head and neck cancer.

Kristie Trenkle, M.O.T., OTR/L, CLT

Kristie earned a Bachelor's degree in exercise science and master's degree in occupational therapy from Midwestern University. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and has taken continued training to work with patients in oncology rehabilitation. Kristie is working toward obtaining certification in hand therapy.

Taylor Wright, MOT, OTR/L, CLT

Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Western Michigan University and master's degree in occupational therapy from North Central College. She has completed the Klose Training course for lymphedema treatment, and a breast cancer rehabilitation course through Klose Training. Taylor has a passion for increasing quality of life in everyone she works with and brings a high level of energy and personality to the patients she treats.

Alicia Sandoval, MSOT, OTR/L

Alicia earned a bachelor's in exercise science from Illinois State University and master's degree in occupational therapy from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is looking forward to obtaining certification as a lymphedema therapist and is interested in working more with oncology rehabilitation. She is interested in obtaining hand therapy certification. Alicia has a passion for treating older adults and works closely with the Senior Care/Frailty Clinic at RUSH.

Gabrielle Klugman, M.S., CCC-SLP

Gaby earned a bachelor's degree in vocal performance and communication science and disorders from University of Wisconsin-Madison and master's degree in speech-language pathology from Rush University. She enjoys working with adults with speech, language, voice, swallowing and cognitive disorders due to a variety of medical etiologies. She is the speech pathologist for Rush's ALS movement disorder clinic. Gaby keeps up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practice and attends continuing education courses on aphasia, dysphagia, voice and cognition. She is also a classically trained singer and enjoys using her musical perspective to help patients during voice therapy.

Cynthia Hildner, M.S., CCC-SLP/L

Cindy earned a bachelor's degree in speech therapy and music from Augustana College and master's degree in communication disorders from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She specializes in the treatment of individuals with disorders impacting their voice, swallowing and communication. Cindy holds further certifications and specialization in videofluoroscopic swallow assessment, fiberendoscopic swallow evaluations, rigid and flexible stroboscopic assessment of voice, LMRV voice treatment, PhoRTE voice treatment, LSVT LOUD, laryngectomy TEP management and transgender voice modifications.
