Dry Needling (DN) is a procedure in which filiform needles are used to deactivate myofascial trigger points. It is NOT acupuncture. DN allows muscle spasms to relax and inhibits pain at a local and systemic level. Patients typically report immediate pain relief that can last a few hours to a few weeks to allow for restoration of normal muscle function. Frequency of DN treatment is different for each individual and used with other modalities and exercises in the center.

Conditions that Benefit from Dry Needling

    • Shoulder and arm pain, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, impingement

    • Foot and ankle sprain, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis
    • Headache, face and jaw pain
