Medicare

Most of our facilities participate with Medicare and we recommend that you check with your NovaCare Rehabilitation center before scheduling your appointment.  Below is information pertaining to the annual Medicare cap for physical and occupational therapy.

 

“For 2011, the annual limit on the allowed amount of outpatient physical therapy and speech-language pathology combined is $1870; the limit for occupational therapy is $1870. Limits apply to outpatient part B therapy services from all settings except outpatient hospital and hospital emergency room”… this was taken from CMS Pub 100-04, transmittal 2073 dated 10/22/10.

Managed Care

NovaCare Rehabilitation is contracted with a broad range of insurance carriers. We are a network provider for a number of HMO, PPO and POS plans. The amount of which these managed care plans pay for our services is dependent on the coverage of the individual patient's health insurance policy.

 

As a courtesy, each center’s Patient Service Specialist will verify insurance coverage for all of our patients. We will also bill your insurance carrier on your behalf, and only collect the amount deemed your responsibility from your carrier. This will include payment for any co-payment at the time of service and for any deductible/coinsurance or non-covered services determined by your contract with your insurance carrier. We recommend that you also verify your therapy benefits with your insurance carrier and let us know if there are inconsistencies with the coverage quoted.

Workers' Compensation

Our Care Management Office (CMO) is dedicated to the proper management of the workers' compensation patient. Prompt scheduling, early intervention, ongoing communication, individualized treatment strategies and visit management from time of referral through discharge. We are committed to providing a top-quality service to all of our customers - the patient, the adjuster, the case manager, the employer and the physician.
