Aquatic Therapy

We are pleased to announce the following developments:
Swimming Performance Program NovaCare offers a specialized program for swimming performance and injury prevention. We also provide physical therapy services to seven swim clubs throughout the Cincinnati Area! If you have questions or concerns regarding the treatment of common sports-related injuries or conditions, call NovaCare Rehabilitation's Sports Injury Hotline. Sports Injury Hotline 513-314-6893 Lymphedema Treatment Available in Kenwood and Downtown Dayton! LYMPHEDEMA TREATMENT is for chronic swelling of all or portions of an extremity or trunk which cannot be controlled or significantly eliminated by medication, R.I.C.E., or exercise. Lymphedema can limit mobility, joint flexibility and normal functional activities at home and in the community. The onset of Lymphedema frequently follows S/P breast and prostate cancer diagnoses and associated treatments. However, it can also develop after a joint replacement trauma or an infection in one of the extremities. The Kenwood office is fully trained and staffed to provide appropriate treatment, including lymphatic drainage massage and gradient decompression wrapping. On-Site at University of Cincinnati NovaCare Rehabilitation is proud to be the exclusive provider of physical rehabilitation services to the students, athletes and employees at the University of Cincinnati. Our team provides services at the Shoemaker Center and the University Health Services located at 2751 O'Varsity Way, Room 338. CARF Accreditation NovaCare's Forest Park, Eastgate and Western Hills centers are CARF Accreditation for Comprehensive Occupational Rehabilitation. This certification allows these centers to provide advanced work hardening services as required per the state of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Hand Therapy in Centerville Karen D. Hazlett, LPT, CHT, is a Physical Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist in our Centerville location. She has specialized in the treatment of the upper quarter/hand therapy, including comprehensive splinting for fracture care and arthritis. A dedicated clinician, Karen has over 25 years of clinical experience. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio State University in 1982 and obtained her certification as a hand therapist in 1992.
