March is National ATC Month! The National Athletic Trainers Association’s theme for 2012 is “Athletic Trainers Save Lives.” Our ATCs play an integral role in the rehabilitative process on the playing field and helping athletes and keeping our workforce healthy and safe! We count on our athletic trainers to be on the front lines in prevention, treatment and ongoing management of care for our patients, partnering school athletic departments (high school and college/university) and in the workplace! The month of March celebrates the great work ATCs do all year long! CARF Accreditated! NovaCare's Forest Park, Eastgate and Western Hills centers are CARF Accreditated for Comprehensive Occupational Rehabilitation. This certification allows these centers to provide advanced work hardening services as required per the state of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. While we accept most insurances, many insurance companies do not list us as NovaCare Rehabilitation, but list us by our 'legal name.' To help you obtain the correct coverage information from your insurance company, we have provided a list of the legal names that are linked to our centers. Program Offering
Lymphedema Treatment Available in Montgomery, Western Hills and West Chester! LYMPHEDEMA TREATMENT is for chronic swelling of all or portions of an extremity or trunk which cannot be controlled or significantly eliminated by medication, R.I.C.E., or exercise. Lymphedema can limit mobility, joint flexibility and normal functional activities at home and in the community. The onset of Lymphedema frequently follows S/P breast and prostate cancer diagnoses and associated treatments. However, it can also develop after a joint replacement trauma or an infection in one of the extremities. Our clinical team is fully trained and staffed to provide appropriate treatment, including lymphatic drainage massage and gradient decompression wrapping. Our clinicians completed the specialized training to allow us to provide this technique. The Graston Technique assists our clinicians in detecting and effectively treating soft-tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.
