Our Team

Scott Sattan, P.T., CSCS, Center Manager

Scott is the center manager of NovaCare's Manahawkin center and a distinguished member of the team with more than 30 years' experience treating a wide range of orthopedic, post-operative and sports-related injuries. Scott is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, trained in prosthetic rehabilitation and proficient in injury prevention and treatment of the athletic population. Scott is certified in work conditioning and Functional Capacity Evaluations, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and trained in the ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program and Recovery and Reconditioning Program. Scott earned a bachelor's degree in physical therapy in 1992 from Ithaca College and has since completed various courses, including functional orthopedics, McKenzie treatment and casework for the knee, back, shoulder, and sports rehabilitation. In the clinic, his emphasis is on creating an exceptional patient experience. When away from work, Scott enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

Michael Staino, O.T, CHT, COMT

Michael is the hand therapy program coordinator in southern New Jersey with his primary base of service being the Stafford clinic. With 30 years of experience in the field of Occupational Therapy, he specialize in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. Michael is a certified hand therapist and certified orthopedic manual therapist. Michael is skilled in treating traumatic hand injuries, including wrist and hand fractures, flexor and extensor tendon injuries, digit amputations, compressive neuropathies, nerve repairs and epicondylitis and fabricates a complex range of static and dynamic hand splints. Michael supervises and mentors the hand therapy staff at NovaCare facilities in Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland Counties. He earned his bachelor's degree in science of occupational therapy in 1993 from Temple University.

Inessa Soden, O.T., CHT

Inessa is an occupational therapist with over 12 years of experience in occupational and hand therapy. She is committed to providing each patient with superior clinical care in a supportive, encouraging environment at the Manahawkin clinic. Her quality, hands-on technique and extensive knowledge base is evident in the treatment of orthopedic injuries of upper extremities, neurologic conditions, cancer-related conditions as well as cognitive therapy in specific cases. Inessa graduated from Tartu University with a medical degree, and earned an additional master's degree in occupational therapy from Richard Stockton University and board certification from American Society of Hand Therapists.

Diana Klitz, MPT

Diana has a passion for her profession that encompasses every aspect of her treatment style. From the moment a patient walks in the door, Diana is fully engaged in making their rehabilitation an exceptional experience. She specializes in the treatment of post-surgical issues including total hip/knee, rotator cuff repair, shoulder debridement, meniscal repair, cervical and lumbar fusion/discectomy. Diana is likewise proficient in the evaluation and treatment of strains/sprains including shoulder, back, neck, lower quarter as well as overuse injuries and balance/fall risk conditions. At the forefront of her practice, Diana provides compassionate, evidence-based care to every patient, and continually seeks to grow in her expertise through clinical education courses and collaboration with other healthcare team professionals

Danielle conway, P.T., DPT

Danielle is an accomplished clinician with 21 years of clinical expertise. She specializes in the treatment of vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, balance dysfunction and orthopedic injuries in patients of all ages. Danielle's goal is to help patients have a good understanding of their injury and the rehabilitation process, evaluate functional needs and outcomes and design a comprehensive program based on a thorough assessment. She seeks to educate patients on the value of health through exercises and maintaining an active lifestyle. Danielle helps to maximize patients' progress by collaborating with health care professionals involved in their care. Danielle earned a bachelor's degree in biology in 1999, master's degree in physical therapy in 2002 and doctorate of physical therapy in 2016 from Stockton University.

Timothy Gallagher, PTA

Tim is a physical therapist assistant at NovaCare's Manahawkin center. He is an accomplished clinician with more than 31 years of patient care in the outpatient and inpatient environments. Tim is an alumnus of Atlantic Cape Community College and has gained a vast amount of knowledge through his work experience and a multitude of continuing education courses. He is proficient in the treatment of a myriad of conditions including post-operative recovery, soft tissue dysfunction as well as work and sports-related injuries. Tim looks to create an upbeat, healing environment in order to provide a positive patient experience.

ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation

Cancer patients and survivors often face painful, function-limiting consequences brought on by acute treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation and/or surgery. Cancer rehabilitation can help these individuals regain strength, physical function and the independence they may have lost due to cancer or its treatment.

Hand Therapy

Hand therapy focuses on rehabilitation of the hand and upper limbs and is the merging of occupational therapy and physical therapy theory and practice. Several of our highly skilled therapists go on to become certified hand therapists and are proficient in the treatment of hand and upper extremity condition.
