Recently, five of our Western PA therapists underwent certification in the Select Medical Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE). An FCE is a test that determines a person's ability to safely perform an array of work-related tasks such as lifting, walking, carrying, climbing and sitting. FCEs are commonly used by physicians and employers to determine if a person is able to safely perform the daily tasks required by his or her job description.
